What Makes Summer House Different?

Summer House is a relaxed detox center where you will receive medication to make coming off substances relatively easy. It is not an’ in your face’ type atmosphere but rather a caring, family run, home like facility where a combination of withdrawal easing medication and amenities will make this trying time as cozy and comfortable as possible. Most people actually seem to enjoy and feel relieved to be at Summer House because they are not sick and know they are now on the right track. Leading a drug and alcohol free life is a life long process, the first step of which is taken with complete detoxification. THIS IS ALL THAT WE DO which has enabled us to bring it to a near science! We have developed a unique medical protocol which will detox you in a very smooth manner. While you receive the potent detox medication you will also meet with our therapist and have the comfort of enjoying our amenities which include message therapy upon request as well as WIFI internet, Satellite TV, Tai Chi Classes, Accupunture and unlimited use of a high powered Jacuzzi in addition to this we have brought together a dynamic team of staff who will support you in this stage of your recovery and help point you toward and prepare you for the next step of your journey of freedom from addiction.

One service we are able to offer which is somewhat unique to us is the personalized discharge planning. When you choose which facility or avenue of care you are to follow in your quest to become clean, most places you speak with recommend their facility without having met you or experienced your company for any period of time. At Summer House we are a detox facility and have no stake in where or how you pursue your recovery upon discharge from us but we do have the invaluable resource of getting to know you while you are with us. We realize some people come to us and then return home to resume their lives drug free. We can help you to get established in a healthy routine upon return to your home which will greatly improve your chances of remaining clean. Others may feel that they need to follow up with a secondary treatment center and we strongly reccomend it but it’s not for everybody. We have relationships with treatment centers all over the country and having been in the field for close to twenty years can give you information on which option might be best for you. This may or may not be your first time seeking help, but it is our heartfelt goal to make it your last and with the time we spend with you we will do what we can to help you achieve that goal.
