Drug Rehab
Drug Rehab:
Residential programs begin with a thorough assessment and evaluation process that continues throughout the first week of a patient's stay. Treatment consists of many structured activities designed to help a patient heal. These include peer interaction, individual counseling, group therapy, and based on individual needs, may involve specialty groups such as relapse prevention, anger, eating issues, cognitive behavioral therapy, women's issues, men's issues, gender issues, assertiveness, Twelve Step group study, family issues and similar special topics. Drug addiction is a diagnosable and treatable disease. The professional staff view this illness as a primary disease that is progressive in nature, which can be interrupted and recovery is then possible. Based upon your initial assesment, we develop a specific treatment program for your personal needs. Special attention is given to ensure the best treatment method for each person.

We incorporate a 12 Step approach, Research and experience shows that the 12 Step model is the most effective tool in combating addiction of any kind. Summer House offers a wide range of specialized treatment for all types of addiction problems, These treatments extend to Alcohol, Cocaine, Marijuana, Methamphetamine (Crystal meth), LSD, Ecstasy, Heroin, Speed and co-occuring problems like eating disorders and mental health/mood disorders.

What to Expect:  One-to-one counseling and group therapy, Personal time for reflection and reading, Relaxation, exercise and recreation activities, Healthy meals, Lectures and other educational activities, Mental health services as needed, Time for fellowship, allowing for personal sharing and understanding. If the addict has been using drugs or alcohol for a long time, he or she may have to go to "detox." Usually, detox or that process which rids the body of the addictive chemical has to be done in a medical setting because the addict may go through severe withdrawal symptoms such as seizures, fever, delirium, headaches and nausea. Detox can take as long as five days.

The Solution:  The highly trained staff at Summer House will assist in making the treatment process safe and comfortable from beggining to end.
